About the event

Employment and tax issues of a remote workforce, both for the members and for their clients

A bit about Peter Ferrigno

Peter Ferrigno is a tax adviser, chartered accountant and chartered HR director with a specialisation in the taxation of cross-border employment.  This includes traditional assignments, and new models of remote working. looked at from the perspective of both the individual and the employer.

After a 25 year career in the Big 4, split between Andersen and EY, which included 18 years on assignments in various parts of emerging Europe setting up tax and global mobility practices, Peter has more recently rounded out that experience with a stint at one of the largest relocation companies, where he also served as HR director for a while and ran their Immigration practice.  He has also worked in international law firms and a high profile boutique tax practice.  Having been in so many different places, Peter’s general experience in how to start a business in a new country, or how to manage a cross-border transaction from both the tax and the people side,  is relevant in many areas.

A bit more about the talk

Employing and paying people is one of the main expenses for any business.  As new forms of working have become more important in recent years, older employment and reward structures need to be updated to keep pace with what employees are looking for, and what the business needs. These sessions look at examples of how various companies are responding to these changes, what is working well, and what learning points can be taken.

Members will benefit from the technical content, combined with the commercial aspects of what other companies in many industries are doing.
